  1. As i opened my work door there lying like it was asleep was the most beautiful hawk. I took a step back stunned that such a beautiful bird could be so lifeless. It had been flying over my work place for the last few months.Around the same time I started this dream job. I had been a stay at home mom for the past 18 years. Only after having spoken to a few cooworkers and reading about the hawk and the true meanings of this magnificent creature did I realize that maybe the message was for me.

    • Very interesting Roberta. Good for you for stepping out into a new lifestyle; it takes courage to do that as you well know. Great story. I’m wondering how you have discerned “the” message from this experience?

  2. Hi there. I am new to this so please bear with me. I see that your blog is about hawks. I had a siting today but it was with bald eagles. I am terrified of birds. Any kind. I run from sparrows. But this afternoon while I playing in the yard with my dog. (She’s a huge 95 lb pit bull). I was sitting in the yard and noticed birds circling above us. I didn’t look right away because of my fear. When I finally got the courage to look up I noticed it was 2 beautiful bald eagles. Also was what appeared to be the baby. It was so amazing it gave me goose bumps. I am by far not a nature person. But for some reason I cannot get this siting out of my head. I am just all around inspired. I manged to get a few decent pictures. I even stopped to buy a lottery ticket on my way to work. I’ve been told that eagles symbolizes good luck. So I guess that’s my question. Do eagles and hawks represent the same things. I feel truly honored and inspired by this event. I feel like it has changed me a little bit. I would like to somehow forward you the pictures if I could. Thanks

    • Hi Leslie, Thanks for the posting. Yes send me the pics cds94804@gmail.com
If you would like I can post them on this blog with the name you give me to post as the author/photographer. Okay.
As to eagles spirituality meaning I found this on this page http://www.pure-spirit.com/more-animal-symbolism/629-eagle-symbolism I’ll quote the first paragraph for you:
“When an eagle appears, you are on notice to be courageous and stretch your limits. Do not accept the status quo, but rather reach higher and become more than you believe you are capable of. Look at things from a new, higher perspective. Be patient with the present; know that the future holds possibilities that you may not yet be able to see. You are about to take flight.”
It is my prayer for you to take this opportunity to step forward with new found courage. But be discreet and alert at the same time. Move on with good and much counsel. Like the hawk which is a positive messenger the eagle sighting is also very positive. The fact that both the hawk and the eagle have eye sight that is multiple times sharper than ours would infer to us that we are to be alert, sensitive, and aware of what is going on around us along with being sensitive in spirit. They both sore in the flight so that should suggest to us that we are not to be anxious or stressful of how we go about being aware, etc. but to go on trusting in a greater power watching over us. This is especially true for you since you saw the baby eaglet with the adult eagles. How special for you. You have been truly blessed. Yes Leslie I would love to see your pictures. I may have to adjust them to get the best of them possible is that okay too? Best wishes.
